Every year, the worldwide leather industry uses goods from nearly a billion animals to make apparel items. Making leather products often include the use of improper labor. It generates more waste and a bigger carbon impact too. But that's not how it should be, right?
We've looked everywhere for companies that don't simply exclude animal by-products. We've included companies that use recycled plastics. They source eco-friendly materials in their ideas. Actions like these help them reduce their footprint. Apart from that, they're promoting fair-wage employment and looking for green resources. Despite these efforts, their products are cheap and stylish. The pleasant vegan shoes below are good for every event. From jogging to an evening dine-out. We have found the best vegan boots for women - take a look:
1. Vivobarefoot Geo Racer II (Jogging)
With a pair of Viv, you'll be able to feel the nature.
They're meant to be shaped like feet, not shoe-shaped. This is to replicate the feeling of jogging barefoot. Something that helps reconnect you with nature.
They're thin enough for you to feel the ground under your feet. Flexible enough to allow for free movement. They're made with bonded overlays for durability. This lets you go the distance. They're meant for natural, healthy mobility. The 4-millimeter sole leaves just a whisker between your feet and the ground. Because of this, they may take some getting used to.
Vivboarefeet's beliefs are based on sustainability. Their products are made from as much recycled PET and rubber components as possible. They stress on limiting virgin materials. It is also the world's highest rated B Corp footwear business. They have set a goal of achieving a closed-loop process. That means making shoes without any waste and zero environmental effect.
2. Toms Alpargata Heritage Canvas (slip on)
Toms' famous Alpargata slip on is the real classic. It has been reinvented to become 100 percent vegan. It's even more eco-conscious now than it was ever before. They're intended for a warm comfort session even if you spend a whole day on your feet. Its canvas top is made up of jute. Jute is a material that needs far less water to grow than normal fibers. Canvas Toms are offered in a series of vibrant colors.
Toms don't require much of an introduction. They have a one-for-one charity giving model. Not too long ago, they donated one-third of all earnings in the US. Both these steps helped around 100,000,000 individuals.
3. Nae Black Knee High Boot (Leather)
These beautiful boots by Nae are evidence that animal products are not needed in your closet. They feature a zipper fastening. For additional traction, a thick lugged sole is there too. You may dress them up for the workplace. Or even down for a cool day trip.
Microfiber is used to make the waterproof vegan leather upper. You should also buy some black creme polish. Because the boots do need some up keep.
4. Veerah Venus (Dress Shoe)
Born to be worn with your beloved Little Black Dress, these cruelty-free stilletos command attention thanks to an elegant silhouette. Made by the 100% Vegan brand Veerah, it comes with a reversible strap and ribbon, so you can style this one shoe several different ways.
But it’s not just for aesthetic reasons that we like these heels. Nine plastic bottles were repurposed to make each pair of Venus sandals, while algae (yes, algae!) is used to fill the comfortable cushioned insoles. Algae can help reduce CO2 emissions and clean natural water supplies at the same time. The only drawback is that this pair costs nearly $350.
5. Rothy’s Mary Jane Flats (Shoe)
Pretty and comfy: isn't that what we all need in a shoe? Rothy's are ideal for any event. They're built with recycled plastic. This strong fiber then makes these gorgeous flats.
These flats easily bring the classic Mary Jane into the twenty-first century. They're a part of the designer's 76 million plastic waste recycled till now. Pair nicely with a variety of dresses. They're really cute and come with a bow for added fun. However, you can get a similar design from Rothy's without a bow.
These shoes are very comfy and cruelty-free. This is thanks to their brown vegan leather outsoles. What we really like is that they're entirely machine washable. When they need to be cleaned, just toss them in the washing machine. They'll be as fresh as new. Rothy's do run a little thin and tiny after a wash. So if you're in between sizes, go with larger ones.
6. Matt & Nat Denver Rain Boots (waterproof)
Canadian vegan apparel veterans Matt & Nat came up with these rain boots. With them, there's no excuse to remain at home! These Chelsea boots give a new spin on an iconic piece of British footwear. Not to forget. Extra points for avoiding the usual use of leather in this design.
These shoes are very practical and stylish. They're a decent replacement for the normal rain boots. They're made with clean black PVC built from recyclable sources.
7. Avre Limitless (for tennis)
AVRE's Tennis shoes are trendy, vegan, and eco-friendly. These sneakers feature a rough, stretch knit and a seamless finish. They are made with yarn spun from around ten plastic bottles. It absorbs moisture quite well. A feature that keeps feet dry.
They come in seven different shades. The pink one is one of our favorites. A platform sole adds more support. Finally, minimal packaging adds more green points to it. They're machine-washable too, just like Rothy's.
8. Beyond Skin Jezabel Black Faux Leather Vegan Ankle Boots (work shoes)
The source material is acquired as near to the factory as possible. This makes them a vegan-friendly alternative to traditional leather boots. We especially like them in gold. The golden color adds a touch of glitz to any formal dress. But sadly, they're among the most expensive pairs around.
These heel ankle boots feature beautiful black vegan leather. You can carry vegan flair to your workplace. They're built with polyurethane leather. It is an oil industry byproduct. However, its impact on the planet is much lower than PVC. The substitute leather is produced in Italy. But the shoe is made in Spain.
